Internet-radio catalog & streaming rights

For App Review (Guideline 5.2.3) · Updated 17 August 2026

CozyFM (bundle ID com.cozyfm.app, operator HelloLive Inc.) is a discovery and playback client for internet radio. The app does not host, cache, re-encode, or redistribute station audio files. When a user taps Play, the device connects to the stream URL published by that station.

1. Catalog source (directory data)

Station names, tags, homepages, country, and stream links are imported from the community Radio Browser directory:

  • Site: https://www.radio-browser.info/
  • API: https://api.radio-browser.info/

Radio Browser states that collected directory data (station names, tags, links to streams, links to homepages, language, country, state) is dedicated to the public domain, that the API may be used in free and non-free software, and that everyone is free to use that accumulated data in their works. CozyFM uses the API with User-Agent CozyFM/1.0 as requested by the project.

2. Audio itself (station streams)

CozyFM does not claim copyright in third-party broadcasts. Each stream URL in the directory is a URL the station (or its operator) published for public listening. Playback is a direct HTTP(S) connection from the user's device to that origin. CozyFM does not operate a CDN of station audio and does not sell subscriptions to station content.

Where a station publishes a homepage, the app can surface that homepage so users can review the station's own terms. Streams that are known-unplayable or third-party web-player pages (for example TuneIn / Radio.net wrappers) are filtered out of import.

3. What the app is not

  • Not a TuneIn, iHeart, Spotify, YouTube, or similar licensed catalog clone
  • Not an unauthorized download or offline-store of broadcasts
  • Not a rebroadcast / radio-over-IP origin of our own

4. User-generated content

Chat, reviews, and community posts are written by CozyFM users. Report and block controls are provided. Safety contact: cs@hellolive.tv.

5. Contact for rights holders

Stations or rights holders who want a listing removed can email cs@hellolive.tv. HelloLive Inc. will promptly hide or delete the catalog row so the app no longer offers that stream URL.
